Hey Melissa! How ya doin hermana Hottie? Are you the two tooth tweety? Thanks for sending me those cool flowery rose papers so I could send you a letter. There’s a little girl in my branch (like a small ward) who is 7. Her name is Isabella. She has some teeth missing too. You’ve gotten bigger since I left. Do you have some new friends in your class? I’m glad you and mom and dad had lots of fun at the baseball game.

I’m going to save the other flower page so I can write you another letter later. Guess what! There were 11 people at church that aren’t LDS! We are going to baptize 7 of them next Sunday. On September 2nd. Cool huh!

I’m sending you a Pokemon toy I got out of a Cheetos bag. You put the hands and feet and tail on the body. I hope you love it. Happy early birthday. Have fun on school. Don’t worry, be happy. Have fun when you do homework (later you can teach mom and dad what you learned). Love ya Melissa!

Brother,

Elder William

The Context

This was a letter sent to William's sister before her birthday. William's youngest sister wrote him letters frequently and he joked that having a little sister write him so frequently was better than a girlfriend. William's sister loved spending time with him while they were growing. Later William's sister went on a mission herself and you can complete one of her missionary word scrambles.
